Consumer Reports stated that the 2017 Subaru Impreza has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine capable of putting out 152 horsepower which will be paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) gearbox although an option for a manual transmission will also be available. As to how much pound-feet of torque it can produce at certain RPMs, no details were mentioned.

According to a report from Autoweek, improving the quality of the 2017 Subaru Impreza's interior was one of the goals of the automaker along with making the car's driving experience more engaging and a lot safer. In the same report, Subaru stated that the new model is stiffer by up to 70 percent. The dimensions of the sedan and five-door models have also changed by 1.6 inches in length, 1.5 inches in width and have a ride height that is 0.4-inch lower than the previous models. It was mentioned by the automaker that the new platform allows the car to absorb crash energy better by a margin of 40 percent.
Trims And Features
The 2017 Subaru Impreza will be available in four trims from the base level 2.0i, Premium, Sport and Limited. CarPlay and Android Auto are among the standard features that will come with the trims along with the split-folding rear seats. More features come depending on the trim the buyer chooses.
Price And Availability
The base price of the 2017 Subaru Impreza starts at $19,215 and $19,715 for the sedan and hatchback respectively, as reported. It was also stated that the new models are now available in any Subaru or car dealer's showrooms.
