Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: Free vs Paid DLC; Everything We Know So Far

Today, we're going to discuss the difference between the Free and Paid versions of the upcoming DLCs of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. For those of you that are wondering, both the Free and Paid DLCs will go live and be available for download across all platforms starting on 20th of December.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Free DLC

Despite being free, there's actually lot of new contents that will come for the new Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Free DLC Pack 1 namely:

New ability for SSGSS Goku: Awakened Kaioken X10!
New ability for Hit: Awakened Pure Progress
Four New Attacks
Six New Costumes
New In-Game Event: Frieza's Siege
New Raid Quest Featuring Evil Yamcha
20 New Attacks
Five New Teachers (Bardock, Future Gohan, Android 16, Cooler, Whis)

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Paid DLC

The Paid DLC pack, as expected, is a lot cooler with its exclusive new characters, abilities and in-game peripherals. Here is the complete Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Paid DLC Pack 1:

Added Two New Playable Characters: Cabbe (With Super Saiyan Transformation) and Frost (Final Form)
Aded One New Master: Hit
Three New Parallel Quests
Five New Attacks
Two New Costumes
Two Emotes
Five Super Souls

As we've said before, if you opted out to get the Paid DLC Pack, the Free DLC will also come alongside it therefore, if you get the Paid DLC Pack, you'll basically be able to enjoy all of the new contents that were listed above. Interestingly enough, Bandai Namco didn't revealed much details regarding the contents of the upcoming DLCs.

A lot of fans are hoping to get Black Goku costumes and are asking whether or not it'll come with the Paid DLC Pack. Bandai Namco has been reticent with the matter and still remained silent to date. For now, all we can do is wait for the DLCs to come and if we are really going to have that much requested Black Goku outfit.

Lastly, it's important to note that the Paid DLC will come with a new mentor and that is Hit. Now you may be wondering, Hit's signature moves are already available via Shenron Wish and therefore, if they're going to add Hit as a mentor, they'll technically be adding new moves from the character (since a mentor usually teaches four new moves) which you will also eventually learn in the process. For the time being, we still have no clue what are the given new abilities but we can only guess through watching Dragon Ball Super.
