Selena Gomez is finally back on track after resting her career for three months due to her rehab treatment. The singer-actress is also now active again on Instagram following her hiatus. The 24-year-old songstress shared an inspiring Thanksgiving Day message to her fans that sounded like she is finally moving on from her pains of breaking up with Justin Bieber.
After being seen at the American Music Awards 2016 where she imparted an emotional speech, Gomez continued to share inspirational words through her first Instagram photo during Thanksgiving. The post quickly earned almost half a million likes for the first hour that it was posted. Apart from sharing that she's striving to fix her life after rehab, she also hinted that she already had enough of her being "broken" which fans are speculating is in reference to her failed relationship with Bieber.
Gomez wrote, "I have a lot to be thankful for this year.. My year has been the hardest yet most rewarding one yet. I've finally fought the fight of not 'being enough'. I have only wanted to reflect the love you guys have given me for years and show how important it is to take care of YOU. By grace through faith. Kindness always wins. I love you guys. God bless."
Gomez and Bieber have had an on-again, off-again relationship after they broke up originally in 2012. When the "Good for You" singer was admitted in rehab, countless rumors that Bieber has been constantly visiting her went out. Talks even have it that the two are already planning to settle down. Despite the speculations hounding the ex-lovers, Gomez made it clear that she is focusing on her recovery while Bieber said that he is not yet ready to enter another relationship.
Gomez made her first public appearance after being on hiatus during the AMA 2016 held Sunday, Nov. 20 where she received the Favorite Female Pop/Rock Artist award. She shared to the audience how she was battling her depression and how she is focusing on herself to become a lot better in the coming days. The pop star also pointed out how her work has affected her health, saying, "I kept it all together enough to where I would never let you down, but I kept it too much together, to where I let myself down."
The speech of the artist during the award ceremonies indeed inspired a lot of her colleagues. Lady Gaga, for one, dropped a statement admiring Gomez's bravery saying, "I found it very brave of her to stand up and speak about [depression]."
