Netflix Adds Feature To Download Shows; What Else Is Coming For December?

Netflix has just updated and launched a new feature that all avid binge-watchers will be delighted with. The streaming site has just added the option to download shows and movies from the said application.

Netflix announced on Nov. 29 the launching of the new feature, which was one of the most in-demand features viewers had asked for. The update has been deployed immediately for iOS and Android devices so far. With the attribute just starting, the downside is it will be available for some titles only.

“The Crown”, “Orange Is The New Black”, and “Narcos” are already confirmed to be part of the downloadable shows but Netflix has not revealed the estimated extent of the update. It is noticeable though that the download option is available first to original Netflix series. With the download update, people can now watch their favorite shows and movies offline anywhere and anytime. Netflix revealed that the reason behind the new feature is to cater to subscribers who live in areas that have costly or limited internet and data connection.

Along with the great news, Netflix has also released new titles for the month of December, which includes several classics like “Beverly Hills Cop”, “D2: The Mighty Ducks”, “Honey, I Shrunk The Kids”, and “The Little Rascals”. Netflix will be rolling out seven new series and countless movies on the first three days of December 2016.

The new titles for December will also comprise of various movies that were released earlier this year such as “Captain America: Civil War”, “Spectral”, and “The Good Neighbor”. Netflix will be updating their list all throughout the month that viewers will surely have enough stored for a marathon. Netflix has yet to update whether they will be featuring a Christmas-centered release since the list consists only a few Christmas titles such as “The Spirit of Christmas” (2015) and “Ricardo O’Farill: Christmas Special” (2016).

The updates, which will include the download option and the new titles, will reflect on Dec. 1. Netflix will be releasing new movies and series from Dec. 1 until Dec. 30.
