‘Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin’ News, Updates: Preview For Two-Part Loum Arc Episodes Released; ‘Clash At Loum’ Premiere Scheduled In Fall 2017

"Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" anime's portal site just posted the preview for the next two episodes featuring the Battle of Loum. The fifth volume in the series "Clash at Loum" will be about how the war began and the story will continue in the sixth volume "Rise of the Red Comet."

"Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" is entering a new arc after the end of the Char/Sayla arc. The said arc focused on how RX-78 and MS-04 were developed and the events that took place during the first mobile suit battle. Now, the story is moving on to the Battle of Loum which will center on the conflict that sparked during the One Year War. The first antagonist in the Gundam franchise, Char Aznable, became famous during the war and he was nicknamed Red Comet.

"Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" entitled "Clash at Loum" is based on the fifth installment in the "Origin" anime. The episode will air in fall 2017 and the events take place during Universal Century 0079. The story is all about the start of the battle after the Principality of Zeon decided to launch a war of independence against the Earth Federation Government.

In an effort to end the war faster, Zeon launches "Operation British" which would lead to the death of half of the world's population. The Federation launches a counteroffensive backed by their full strength but Zeon has another secret weapon - mobile suits. The clash between the two forces will mark human history's biggest battle yet and it will happen in Loum.

"Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" volume 6 will follow the "Clash at Loum" and it will be released in 2018. At the moment there are no exact dates for the anime's release. While waiting for more news on the latest Gundam franchise, watch the teaser below:
