Bea Smith’s Big Comeback In ‘Wentworth’ Season 5 To See Joan Ferguson’s Death?

Bea Smith’s brutal death in “Wentworth” Season 4 is beyond heartbreaking. Despite the character’s status being fictional, her huge fan base couldn’t just let her go. Months away from its tragic conclusion, still they cannot accept the fact that a beloved brave woman in her can be killed and there’s no better way to empathize with their grieving than bringing her back.

Recently, the press and the followers of Soho’s popular soap have been on the high on Bea’s alleged return in the fifth installment. Great, great news that is! But Danielle Cormack nor the showrunners have confirmed this thrilling claim. Should this expectation turn to reality, a possible plot is in the works of the rumor mill.

Reports suggest that the merciless warden Joan Ferguson (Pamela Rabe) aka ‘The Freak’ and her downfall will be featured on “Wentworth” season. Ferguson is the big name behind Bea’s horrible death. She is forecasted to endure series of tortures in the upcoming season that will eventually lead to an overdose of her own medicine- her own murder.

Bea is expected to plot Ferguson’s demise. If not in the hands of the fan-favorite character, Kate Jenkinson’s Allie Novak might take the lead in avenging her death. Novak’s revenge is presumed to be possible with a new character’s influential presence as Liam Hemsworth is rumored to join the cast in the forthcoming installment as a tough prison warden. He is theorized to have a romantic interest in Bea’s former beau. Are we looking forward to a new love story? Will justice prevail for Bea?

Aside from Novak and Hemsworth, Kaz Proctor is presumed to be an ideal candidate in killing Ferguson. As previously reported, Ferguson will be moved to another correctional facility where Jodie Spiteri (Pia Miranda) is the top dog and Spiteri will retaliate to Joan on what she did to her in the past. Her utmost hatred towards Ferguson may lead to “The Freak’s” death. To recall, Spiteri was controlled to self-harm by Ferguson in season 3 of the series.

Will the viewers get to see one of these theories on the screen when the fifth season of “Wentworth” begin? It is interesting to note that Bea’s legacy lives on and her avid fans continue to hope against all hopes that she will be back even in flashbacks or as a comatose patient.

However, the executive producer of the hit series already validated that her character is already written off and that her death saddened them as well. Another news that strengthened her absence in the soap is Cormack’s acceptance of a new project titled "Deep Water." Shall we finally bury Bea’s memories in the grave and welcome with brave hearts a new alpha female character?

It will be hard, though. Only an official statement from the network or the show’s management can break the long thread of conversations that are all speculations.
