'Supernatural' Season 12, Episode 9 Spoilers: Castiel and Mary Track Dean And Sam In Prison; Series Returns With New Timeslot In January

"Supernatural" season 12 midseason finale had quite a miserable ending. The Winchesters were arrested for an assassination attempt on the president while Kelly ran away carrying Lucifer's child. Episode 9 will come back in January with Dean and Sam locked up in prison while Castiel and Mary track them down.

In "Supernatural" season 12, episode 8 titled "LOTUS," Lucifer found his perfect vessel in the name of United States President Jefferson Rooney. While in Rooney's, body Lucifer conceives a child with one of Rooney's staff, Kelley. The Winchesters, Castiel, Crowley and Rowena ambushed Rooney and managed to exorcise Lucifer from his body but the Secret Service arrested them believing they tried to assassinate the president. To make things worse, Kelly ran away carrying Lucifer's child.

The preview for "Supernatural" season 12, episode 9 shows Dean and Sam in a high level prison and they are put in separated cells. Sam asked where they are and an agent told them: "One of those places that officially doesn't exist."

The scene shifted to Castiel and Mary more than one and a half month since the two were gone. Castiel and Mary will try to find Dean and Sam but the Secret Service agents will find them instead. They have faced stronger demons than some men with guns but tracking the two who are in a place not recorded in the map and sneaking them out will be hard.

On the other hand, Kelly's decision to flee can be understood because she is a mother but the child in her womb will definitely be a big threat in the future. The child has Lucifer's blood in human flesh and it might become a means for Lucifer's comeback.

"Supernatural" season 12, episode 9 will come back with a new timeslot on Jan. 26. It will air at 8 p.m. EST on The CW instead of the regular 9 p.m. schedule. Watch the preview below:
