Battlefield 1 News: Players Are Dying From Invisible Targets

Have you ever died from seemingly "invisible target" without a reason? Well, you're not alone as players are already seeking for answers behind the "invisibility" mechanics and if this exploit is either a hack or a glitch from the system.

Players Die From Invisible Man

A Reddit thread shows a video wherein an invisible target gets near a defender and deliberately melees him out of nowhere. After the thread went viral, numerous players then recalled similar experiences and some even pointed out that their deathcam follows an invisible target. According to them, they have experienced the incident ever since launch but in rare occasions.

What does this mean? One theory goes that the game glitches when identifying your location within bunkers. According to Pantheon7, the game may think that you're "outside" instead of actually being inside the bunker which leads to improper loadout of in-game assets since most of the cases happen when they're near the walls.

Another theory is that the alleged "invisible man" is actually the result of an enemy player spawning near the corner of the bunker. And since the client is still rendering the enemy's model, the enemy sees you first before you do, giving them the advantage to melee you before you can even react.

Bug Or Hack?

Since the accounts of such incidents are only minimal, it may be just a glitch from the system or a bug that's caused by the spawning mechanic of Battlefield 1. Either way, it's still remained unfixed as of the time of this writing and players are still trying to figure out if it's indeed a hack or a bug which are being exploited by some players,
