Gotham City Sirens: Megan Fox Eyed To Do Poison Ivy Role?

For all the censures that have been focused at Warner Bros. and its DC Extended Universe, the studio's superhero films are not without several standout performances. In addition to Gal Gadot's crowd-pleasing turn as Wonder Woman in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Margot Robbie's rendition of Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad earned her high grades from movie lovers. The reaction to Robbie's representation was so good that Warners recently declared she would return to lead the all-female villain movie Gotham City Sirens.

The project is stated to be on the fast-track, with Suicide Squad director David Ayer onboard as director. Shortly after the statement, Ayer teased that Catwoman and Poison Ivy could be the two top entrants to appear alongside Harley, and now a new report propose Megan Fox is eyeing one of those roles.

The report comes gallantry of Bleeding Cool, who reports that Fox has been collecting very specific comic books recently. Allegedly, Fox has received Harley Quinn #14, #17, and #38. The first two feature Poison Ivy and explore her connection with Harley, while the latter looks at the Gotham City police department.

Comic buying behaviors do not always point to future castings, but in this case the timing is fitting enough to raise some eyelines. For Fox to invite these specific issues just as the message was made could specify that she is attracted in the role. In fact, she singled out Poison Ivy as a comic book character she'd like to play way back in 2014.

Even if Fox's curiosity is real, there is no assurance she will locked the role. Preparation can play a factor in any intercession, and with others in theory, looking to build off Robbie's success as Harley, the rivalry for a role in Gotham City Sirens is likely to be fierce.

Irrespective of who is on the cast, the standard for a filmic picture of Poison Ivy has been set very low thanks to Batman & Robin, so Fox or anyone else should have no worry creating a notable performance. As the pre-production course on Gotham City Sirens moves forward, it will be motivating to see if Fox's name lingers to be linked to the project as a possible casting choice. She is no foreigner to big-budget films, thanks to Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but joining the DCEU as a major character like Poison Ivy would surely be a higher step to success for her career.
