Honda Delivers First Batch Of New Clarity Hydrogen Cars

Automakers appear to be conducting one launch after another lately. A week ago, the first batch of Chevrolet Bolt EVs was delivered to customers. This week, Subaru rolled out its 2017 American-made Impreza. Now, Honda delivers the first batch of new Hydrogen Cars and a number of customers have been handed the keys to the new zero-emission vehicles.

Six Lucky Customers, Six Lucky Keys

The next generation of the Clarity Fuel Cell car has been delivered to the American Honda Motor campus in Torrance, California yesterday. According to CNET, six keys have been handed over to six owners of the previous version of the Fuel Cell Clarity. Apparently, the six owners have given feedbacks regarding the hydrogen-powered car and it led to the improvement of the new model.

Hydrogen Cars Are Better Than Electric Vehicles

The Hydrogen car from Honda appears to be a lot better compared to any other Electric Vehicles (EV) out there. Compared to other EVs like the Tesla Model S P100D, the travel range is only 315 whereas the new Honda Clarity Fuel Cell has 366 miles range as reported. In addition, the Tesla Model S P100D requires 40 minutes charging time to get to 80 percent with a supercharger while the Honda Clarity Fuel Cell only needs 10 minutes to be fully charged.

Honda Clarity Also Packs A Punch

In addition to the fact that the Honda Clarity has zero emissions and also has the highest range than any vehicle in the U.S. market, it also packs quite a punch under the hood. Reports stated that its engine is capable of delivering 174 horsepower with a top speed of 100 miles per hour. While the performance aspect is not exactly the highlight of the vehicle, this still means that drivers will be able to have some fun while squeezing a lot of practicality out of it.
