The Final Fantasy XV Mobile Game Is About To End

It seems right only for Square Enix to do rapid marketing stunts prior to the release of Final Fantasy XV. After all, 10 years of development isn't a joke. The studio definitely wants to fill the void that the players felt during that period. Now, among these promotions are various spin-off projects. One of these is the game's mobile version (free-to-play) called Justice Monsters V, which is available both iOS and Android devices.

Unfortunately, the studio has to make a heavy decision of ending the aforementioned mobile game, as reported by WWG. It's slated to be shut down come March 27 next year. After that day, players and fans alike can expect the title to vanish like a smoke in the wind.

Almost all Final Fantasy XV fans will agree that Justice Monsters V had a great run. Prior to its release, lots of players were interested about the game. At first glimpse, however, it didn't meet expectations. Fortunately for Square Enix, the community was passionate enough to give it a chance. But alas, it seems to be really having a hard time coping up in the mobile game competition.

By the time the mobile game ends next year, it'll have a total of 6 months run. Although it might not be that bad, one can't deny the fact that it's definitely not generating enough revenue. The fact that features or whatnots like a planned Windows 10 version didn't come to fruition means that it didn't live up to the expectations.

For those who are wondering, the developer of Final Fantasy XV has a solution to all the purchased Golden Orbs. The studio is set to reimburse the users, but only for the unused ones. Besides, the company has already stated that selling of such will cease to exist come February 2017. More info about the refund process is expected to surface sooner or later.
