Xbox Scorpio: 5 Best And Confidential Features To Expect Unveiled

The Xbox gaming console has been expected a major update from its fans. According to recent reports, Microsoft is finally going to launch its next-generation gaming console, the Xbox Project Scorpio, in 2017.

The device is highly anticipated to be Microsoft's most powerful gaming console ever and is also being touted to be even more powerful than the PlayStation 4 Pro itself.

The device will reportedly be launched by the last quarter of 2017 hinted by Phil Spencer, executive head of gaming department at Xbox, during the recently concluded E3 2016 back in June.

5 best Features of the Scorpio

With all things being said, here are five expected features of the Xbox Project Scorpio that everyone should know:

4K games compatibility

The console is expected to fully support 4K gaming to go along with full Windows 10 integration. Microsoft is also expected to come out with 4K versions of the already-existing Xbox One titles.

Full VR compatibility

Microsoft has already ventured into Virtual Reality realm with its HoloLens, and the Xbox Scorpio will also be reaping some benefits from this. The console is going to be VR-ready, allowing players to access standard PC games in Virtual Reality.

Powerful GPU

The core of gaming performance for any console is its Graphics Processing Unit (or GPU). Xbox Scorpio is expected to come with a whopping 6 teraflops of GPU to be able to support VR and 4K gaming, which will make it one of the most powerful gaming consoles ever. It will also come with an AMD Vega CPU and a 5GB DDR5 RAM.

Xbox One content compatibility

The Scorpio is expected to be fully compatible with any Xbox One content. But it has already been announced that Xbox Scorpio-specific games might not be compatible with the Xbox One.

Console cost

The console was earlier expected to be priced similar to the range of high-end PCs, but Spencer recently clarified that it will be priced like a regular gaming console. It is estimated to cost $550 - $600.
