Are you a COD or Battlefield fan? Most FPS players will tell you that if you're a hardcore fan of the genre, then you either play the former or the latter. But what exactly is the disparity between the two prominent FPS titles? Well, one player has his first take on Battlefield 1 after long hours of playing Call of Duty and here's what he can say to the game.
COD Player Experiences Battlefield 1
A long Call of Duty fan has detailed his first impression about Battlefield 1 in a Reddit post that has now acquired much attention from the community. According to him, he is an avid COD fan that has played thousands of hours playing COD: World at War, Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2. He said that COD 4 is an iteration that doesn't seem to belong in the series, well as far as he is concern. After a year of inactivity, the poster has decided that he wanted to play another FPS title but instead of getting Infinite Warfare, he has landed his gaze on Battlefield 1.
He said that he had been looking for another World War experience and since Battlefield 1 offers dramatic plots about the scene way back in WW1, it definitely catered his needs and according to him, it did so astonishingly - to the extent that he said, "Playing this game has made me never want to touch another CoD again."
He then goes into details about how surreal the experience has been: bodies falling over, buildings tumbling down, dodging snipers within 2 miles away, etc. At the end of the post, he then stated that it may stem from the fact that everything about Battlefield 1 is a new and learning experience to him since he had been so accustomed to COD.
This goes to show that the two titles, albeit bearing the same genre, offers entirely different contents for its community; creating a disparity between the thin line of FPS game, which we personally think is great considering that the two studios had been competing against each other for years now.
