Overwatch Update: Full Oasis Patch Notes Revealed

The Christmas event (known as Winter Wonderland) is wrapping up in Overwatch. While many would think that the fun is over, Blizzard actually gave the community a huge treat. Well, it's no other than the arrival of a new map -- Oasis, that is. This was introduced through a recent update, with the full patch notes being revealed.

The aforementioned Overwatch map was first shown to the public back at BlizzCon last year. It offers a good new look as well as some interesting tidbits. Today, it's available on all platforms (e.g. PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One). The studio also unleashed a video, giving fans a preview of what it's all about, as noted by Express.

It holds true that Oasis offers a new perspective (in terms of landscape) in Overwatch. However, there's actually one notable thing it offers -- the jump pads. The latter are basically the first in the hit multiplayer first-person shooter game. Not only does it serve as a way for getting from Point A to Point B, it also levitates the gameplay of players. It allows them to use it according to their skills and/or abilities.

The jump pads are really an exciting addition in Overwatch. But hey, it's also worth remembering that there's a moving traffic. And not just that. Anyone who gets caught in the middle (get hit) will surely be killed. This is really a new kind of stuff for the entire players to explore and enjoy.

In its most organic form, Oasis in Overwatch is a Control mode map. It was made available in game's Public Test Region back in November (later weeks). In its official description, the map is considered to be among the "world's most advanced cities." It's deemed as "a shining jewel" hailing from the great Arabian Desert.

What are your thoughts on the new Overwatch map? Have you tried playing in Oasis already? If so, how was the experience so far? Were your expectations met? Let us know what your thoughts are at the comment section below!
