Apart from the already known fact that the NES Classic Edition is virtually impossible to find these days, the highly in-demand retro-gaming machine released by Nintendo just 2 months ago was the perfect gift for any avid gamers during the holidays, as well as post-holiday.
Though the video game console has received much praise, it also has one shortcoming that is holding it back from being perfect. While the cable for its wired controller might have been sufficient during the '80s, it is far too short for the modern-aged 2017.
Problem with the NES Classic
The cable connecting the NES Classic Edition's controller towards the base console only 2 and a half feet long. This means that if someone would set the Nintendo Mini NES console up on the big screen, they will either have to sit too close to the TV or would need a long HDMI cable so that they can setup from a distance.
About the NES Classic
Nintendo's NES Classic Edition officially rolled out just November of last year and is a miniature replica of the beloved Nintendo Entertainment System that many old school gamers have played back in the days of the 80s. Apart from its nostalgic design, NES Classic Edition will also be having 30 built-in classic games.
According to several reports, there are already some products that are offering a solution to the NES Classic Edition's short-wired controller problem. The most known one is 8Bitdo's NES30 Classic Edition Wireless Controller Set, a Bluetooth controller and has more buttons than the original NES Classic controller.
Using the Bluetooth controller
Using the Bluetooth controller is relatively easy to pair it with the NES Classic Edition. You can just turn off the console, plug the receiver in, hold down onto the controller's Start button for about 3 seconds, and press the orange button on the receiver. This will then initiate the pairing and then blue LED on the receiver should stop blinking once the two devices have successfully been paired.
