Rainbow Six Siege Upcoming Free Update Has Been Teased By Ubisoft

Recently, it seems like a new content is set to arrive for the first-person shooter game from Ubisoft entitled Rainbow Six Siege. The said update highlights two new characters and an additional map.

Both Ubisoft and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege are not new to artfully teasing their players with updates. In fact, what Ubisoft did regarding the introduction to Japanese "Red Crow" DLC in the past few months is a great example. Currently, Ubisoft has released another teaser for Rainbow Six Siege's next free update that will be arriving soon.

According to the report from Game Rant, the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege update is entitled Velvet Shell. As reported, this is not only the newest update for the game but it is also the first major update which is covered in the game's second season of content.

The Velvet Shell includes an update that is officially categorized in the game as an Operation. It is a new map including two new operators from a new region Spain. As per record, players have seen operators from Brazil with the Skull Rain update, from Japan in the Red Crow update and from Canada in the Black Ice DLC.

Based on the report, the new map will be accessible to all Rainbow Six Siege players, while those who want to acquire the Spanish Operators will have to either purchase the Year Two season pass or unlock them though in-game microtransactions. Meanwhile, players who are unable to secure a season pass will be able to gain access to the new operators via in-game or real-world money.

On the other hand, Ubisoft announced that a demo of the Velvet Shell update will be streamed during the Six Invitational Event. The event for PC and Xbox One will start on Feb. 3 and gamers will be able to see the newest update on Feb. 5 at 10 AM EST.

Lastly, Ubisoft also stated that they will bring a new season of content this year which will include 4 playable maps, 8 DLC operators and more patches which is scattered throughout the year. Meanwhile, Rainbow Six Siege's Velvet Shell update release date has yet to announce by Ubisoft.
