Clash Royale: The Next Balance Update Will Shake The Entire Meta

Supercell hinted that players will get the next major update by the end of January. As the month comes to a close, more and more Youtube personalities are sharing their "opinion" about the upcoming update. One of the most prominent ones, even revealed that the next Balance Update will "Shake the entire meta." Here's why:

Clash Royale: January Balance Update

After the last balance update which brought about a huge swing in the competitive meta (fully ripped Elite Barbarians), Supercell has once again made plans for a major meta-changing update which is expected to be on a much greater magnitude than before. A Youtuber and Clash Royale streamer, TheRumHam, explicitly stated that he already knows what lies ahead for the next Clash Royale update. He also said that the next changes will definitely shake the entire meta.

But at the time of this writing, Supercell has yet revealed any info regarding the next Major update and instead, kept its fans engaged with the return of the Draft Challenge, formerly known as the Crown Duels. So what could be the possible balance changes? Well, here are some predictions that are quite obvious right off the bat:

Clash Royale: Possible Changes For The Next Update

Nerf on Elite Barbarians - it's quite obvious that the buff on Elite Barbarians had changed the meta of the game entirely. The new card can easily demolish a lone and unguarded enemy Tower. Moreover, this card is present in almost all top tiered decks which only hints how strong this card currently is. It's no doubt that in the next major update, we will see a significant nerf on the EBs just like how they nerfed the old Poison spell.

Change on Musketeer - an unconfirmed source from Redddit said that we will be seeing a buff on Musketeer but it comes with a price as the Elixir cost of the card will be increased by 1. It's still unclear, however, if the Three Musketeer will also be affected by the process. Will this be the rise of Skarmy control Deck?

Take note that these two are still unconfirmed predictions but it's highly likely that we will be seeing a change in the Elite Barbarians regardless. The card is arguably the strongest common card in the game.
