Pokemon Duel is a new mobile game available for both iOS and Android devices. Unlike Pokemon Go though, players will need to construct a deck for this one.
Basic Deck Needs
Pokemon Duel players will need to have a deck of six figures. In this new mobile game, the figures are divided into three types with various Movement Speeds. The Tank is the slowest with only one Movement Speed. The Fighter has two while the Runner has three.
Three Moves Figures Are Fast But...
The objective of the game is to reach the opponent's starting position and three moves figures can get there faster. Unfortunately, they could not stand up against the opposing Tanks and Fighters. Pokemon Duel players should only consider using adding one or two Runners in the deck. The rest could either be Tanks or Fighters.
Protecting The Runners
Their three moves speed makes them ideal candidates for reaching the goal. The role of guarding and guiding them to the finish lines falls to the Tanks and Fighters. Most players agree that Greninja, Latias and Latios are the best Runners in the game.
Fighters Formed Core Deck
Most Pokemon Duel players though will add around three to four Fighters to their decks. This is because the two moves figures are quite versatile in the game. They are also quite useful for attacking and defending. Some of the specific Fighters can provide synergies that can help players win the game. One such successful synergy involves the Emolga and DialgaPalkia. It's also advisable to pick one Fighter each with white and purple moves.
One Tank Is Enough
Some suggest that adding one Tank in the deck is enough, according to Pokemongohub. This one move figure can deal a lot of damage that can eliminate enemy Runners easily. The Tank is basically the game's goalkeeper. Ultimately, it's up to the Pokemon Duel players which deck construction they are most comfortable with.
