Sony unveils its newest PlayStation 4 firmware that boasts its new Boost Mode. Boost Mode is a new system setting which helps the newly released PlayStation 4 Pro to have improved performance in its games.
It drastically improves the graphics as well as the overall gameplay performance. Reports first went out after a handful of PlayStation 4 owners tested out the bête version of the upcoming version 4.50.
Boost Mode Enhances The Gaming Experience
Boost Mode is said to offer a very smooth frame rate that clearly shows the improvement that it boasts of. Sony released its newest console, the PlayStation 4 Pro last November.
It is also said to play all of the PlayStation 4 games. But the downside to this is that game developer first need to get their games patched specifically for the Pro console, in order for it to be work out perfectly with the console's 4K resolution.
According to Polygon, the PlayStation 4 Pro has two times the power when compared to the standard PlayStation 4. However, if the game is not coded to match the improved specifications of the Pro console, it still wouldn't get to go out in the expected 4K resolution.
PlayStation 4 Pro Is For Everyone
But as what the engineering team of Sony says, the PlayStation 4 Pro is made for that specific purpose. And now, that purpose is very successful, because the games that are not specifically coded for the PlayStation 4 Pro has still got its resolution upscaled.
This means that it still has a better graphics when compared to the standard console. According to The Verge, now that Sony has its Boost Mode out, the gameplay experience of all gamers would surely skyrocket.
Let's just hope that there would be no glitches or errors lurking in. But as of now, everything works just fine.
