Microsoft had already claimed that the upcoming Xbox Scorpio gaming console is going to be the most powerful console that they have ever come up with, and it seems that they claim is true given the small pieces of detail that have emerged of the upcoming console so far. Like for instance, the Xbox Scorpio has been confirmed to be coming with a whopping 6 teraflops of GPU, while also having an 8-core CPU as well.
Both these confirmed features alone can already make the Xbox Scorpio a very powerful and fast console. That's not all as the new console will also feature a memory bandwidth of a staggering 320 GB/s.
The Xbox Scorpio will set the playing field
According to Inferse, the Xbox Scorpio will also be VR ready right from the bat. The current Xbox versions already are 4K compatible, though with VR in the mix as well, the Scorpio can very well be the ultimate game-changer in the console industry.
With the PlayStation 4 having almost entirely dominated the Xbox One so far in terms of sales, it will be interesting to see how Sony responds to the Scorpio's challenge.
Phil Spencer teases fans again
Xbox Head Phil Spencer has recently tweeted that he has played his first games on the Scorpio, an experience in which he described as nothing but amazing. However, Spencer didn't reveal what game he played, or if there would be new upcoming titles announced to match up to the incredible capabilities that the Scorpio seems to pack in.
Projected Price
In terms of the expected price for the Xbox Scorpio, Microsoft is expected to play it really hard by pricing the new console at a reasonable $399. According to TechTimes, there could also be entry-level versions introduced that might come at an even lower price bracket. The bonus, no doubt, will depend on Sony to deliver something better at an even lower price point.
