NBA trade ends in Feb. 23 and the internet is as noisy as ever with rumored deals - some have a bit of truth in it while others seem completely fiction. Some players and coaches are stepping in to clear up some NBA trade rumors.
Nuggets' Chandler and Mudiay
Denver Nuggets coach Michael Malone cleared NBA trade rumors about Wilson Chandler and Emmanuel Mudiay. USA Today reported previously that Chandler is not happy about his role in the team and wants to be traded out. The player has been going back and forth to the teams bench and starting lineup throughout the season. Meanwhile, other reports suggest that Nuggets is looking for a trade involving their young point guard, Mudiay.
"I dismiss the report as BS, if you will -- which you get a lot of this time of year," Malone told ESPN. He explained that he hasn't heard anything about it from Chandler and there are usually a lot of noise about player during this time of the year when the NBA trade deadline is "right around the corner." Meanwhile, the coach added that Nuggets general manager Tim Connelly already told Mudiay there's no truth to the reports.
Cavs' Kevin Love On Knicks Deal
Several reports reveal that Cleveland Cavaliers is heating up to trade their All-Star forward for New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony. In an interview, Love laughed off the alleged Knicks deal saying he expects to be in his current team "for a long time."
Love said he has grown accustomed to be at the center of NBA trade rumors which has been sprouting since his time in the Timberwolves. He added that dealing rumors is part of the growing process. As for the rumors of the Knicks' trade, Love said he predicted it. "I said it doesn't matter if I have an All-Star year or its one start or the other, it's (rumors) always going to be there, right?" he added.
