New Boruto Spin-Off Manga Coming In March; 'Naruto: Chibi Sasuke's Sharingan Legend' To End

Naruto's son, Boruto, is a walking comedy himself owing to his father's mischievous genes. Fans have seen him vandalizing the Hokage rock just like what Naruto did when he was a kid. Now, Boruto and his friends will bring even more laughs with the new "Boruto" spin-off manga by Kenji Taira to be released on March 3.

The Boruto spin-off manga was announced in the March issue of Shueisha's Saikyo Jump magazine on Friday, cited Anime News Network. According to the announcement, Taira's Sasuke spin-off titled "Uchiha Sasuke no Sharingan Den" ("Naruto: Chibi Sasuke's Sharingan Legend") is nearing its end. After which, Taira will be launching a new gag-manga spin-off of Ukyō Kodachi and Mikie Ikemoto's "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" in the April issue of Saikyo Jump magazine scheduled for release on March 3.

Taira, a Japanese mangaka and assistant of Naruto original creator launched Sasuke's spin-off manga in October 2014. The series follows the humorous side of the usually cool and uptight Sasuke and team Taka, the group he created after betraying Orochimaru. Its members include Suigetsu, Karin and Jūgo. Their initial mission is to kill Itachi to avenge the Uchiha clan. The series is drawn in SD style.

Previously, Taira also released another Naruto spin-off titled "Rock Lee no Seishun Full-Power Ninden" ("Rock Lee's Springtime of Youth Full Power Ninja Chronicles"). The series stars Rock Lee and the rest of Team Guy during missions. Sometimes they also cross paths with other Naruto characters. The series was drawn in chibi styles with characters frequently breaking the fourth wall. It inspired a 51-episode anime series titled "Naruto Spin-Off: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals" which aired from 2012-2013

"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" follows the chronicles of Uzumaki Boruto as he grows from a rebellious son who wants the attention of his busy Hokage father to a full-fledged ninja. The Boruto spin-off comes before the release of the Boruto anime series in April.
