One title coming to the Nintendo Switch is Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, and rumors have been coming around that the game will have a first-person mode after a clip was teased in the game trailer. News has it that the game mode is definitely coming to Street Fighter II and it looks like it will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch.
According to Nintendo Everything, the first-person mode is called "Unleash! Ha 'DO' ken," and it's worth noting that the character for "DO" had been replaced from the original kanji. It's still unclear what that would mean to the western release of the game, but players will just have to find out.
Polygon also predicts that "Unleash!" is more of a minigame that is time-based, and it will have Ryu battling wave after wave of Bison's lackeys. It's also possible that the game will reward players the more combos they land.
Apparently, a bunch of box art for the game has also been released, and it can reveal more about the Ultra Street Fighter II for the Nintendo Switch. The game is said to contain about 250 pages of artwork from the franchise, but it's still unclear on whether the gallery will be filled with old or new images.
There is also a logo from Capcom's main game engine on the box, MT Framework. It looks like the company will easily be able to dole out games for the Nintendo Switch as Nintendo is said to be more open to third-party developers this time around.
Earlier speculation for first-person mode of the game thought that the teaser might have been for a VR version of Street Fighter, but it looks like those rumors can be finally put to rest.
No official release date has been announced for Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, but fans can be sure that it will come to the Nintendo Switch this year.
