If the traditional black or white color options for the BlackBerry Q10 are not up your alley, don't worry, you can become the proud owner of a 24-carat gold-plated Gold or Rose Gold BB Q10 smartphone, provided you are ready to dole out some of your hard-earned lettuce.
Come May 9, the first-ever gold-plated Gold and Rose Gold versions of the BlackBerry Q10 smartphones made by luxury goods manufacturer Gold & Co., London is set to hit the shelves in Dubai. The smartphone was showcased on April 28 and announced for the first time in January this year, when BlackBerry took the wraps off its BB 10 devices. However, at the time, no specific release date was known.
"Both gold-plated phones will be released on May 9, just days after the worldwide launch of the Q10 by BlackBerry. These gold-plated phones are limited edition models and are yet another exclusive release from Gold & Co., a company known as an industry leader," notes the Gold & Co. London press release.
The two versions will be launched at the Collector's Palace in Dubai Mall, which has the distinction of being the biggest shopping mall in the United Arab Emirates.
"The BlackBerry Q10 is an extraordinary piece of technology and we are delighted to bring yet another 24 carat gold offering to our loyal customers," notes Amjad Ali, CEO of the Gold & Co. "As always, we look forward to being the first to bring our clients the best in gold plated technology and we believe the Gold and Rose Gold BlackBerryTM Q10 products are among the best."
The original BB Q10 recently debuted in the UK and made its way to Canadian consumers on May 1.
The exclusive luxury versions of the BB Q10 in Gold and Rose Gold have been individually numbered and are custom-made. They come in handcrafted wooden boxes with a certificate of authenticity. The smartphones are aimed at individuals who have a penchant for technology and luxury.
However, if you intend on picking up the BB Q10 in either Gold or Rose Gold, remember that supply is limited. The price for the limited version of the smartphone, however, is not yet known.
