While the battery of the HTC One is quite a robust one, with some handy tips you can enhance the battery life further.
Here are our top five tips and tricks to help improve the battery performance of the HTC One.
1. Adjust Display Settings
Adjusting the display settings and lowering the brightness of the display will help improve battery performance. Moreover, setting the screen timeout to a shorter time will also help.
2. Set-up Auto Dim
Set your HTC One's screen to auto dim when the websites load. To do this go to the Internet app > click Menu > Setings, > Accesibility > Dim screen during page loading.
3. Avoid Live Wallpapers
Live wallpapers consume a considerable amount of battery as they utilize both the CPU and GPU of the smartphone. Therefore, avoid live wallpapers and instead use non-animated ones.
4. Turn Off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi And GPS
When not in use, switch off features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS to save power and avoid battery drainage. To do this on your HTC One, slide the notifications panel and select Settings and disable the items. Similarly, connecting to location services also leads to battery drainage and, therefore, switch off navigation apps like Maps and Locations when you're not using them.
5. Monitor Apps
Users can monitor battery usage stats to check which app and/or feature is consuming power. To do this go to Settings > Power > Battery Use. You can either disable the power hungry apps or adjust power consumption in each app individually.
Also remember it is advisable not to over-charge or under-charge your smartphone. Charge the HTC One to 100 percent and only when the battery is nearly discharged or has 10 to 20 percent charge. Avoid putting the smartphone on charge overnight as it will likely impede battery life.
