Google launched the Nexus 7 tablet with ASUS in June 2012 and the WiFi + 3G version with 32GB was revealed in November. The tablet has reached many parts of the world and now the 32GB WiFi + 3G version of the device has appeared on some online Indian retailers.
Google Play Store (India) is selling the 16GB WiFi only version of the handset for Rs 15,999 (approximately $295.61) and the 32GB variant WiFi only variant for Rs 18,999 (approximately $351.27). The Google Play Store doesn't have the WiFi + 3G variant of the tablet but Indian online retailers like SnapDeal and GrabMore have advertised the tablet on their websites.
SnapDeal is selling the 32GB WiFi + 3G version of the Nexus 7 for Rs 21,999 (approximately $406.74) and GrabMore is selling the same tablet at a slightly lower price tag of Rs 21,950.
The Nexus 7 sports a 7-inch display with 1280 x 800 resolution and 216 pixels per inch (ppi). An Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core chip powers the device. The Nexus 7 includes 16/32 GB of on-board storage options and 1GB of RAM.
Integration with Google Play, built-in Wi-Fi and near field communication (NFC) connectivity makes the Nexus 7 a full entertainment device serving as a platform for multimedia, e-books, television programs, films, games and music.
The Nexus 7 was the first device to ship with Android version 4.1 Jelly Bean. In November 2012, when Google launched the 32GB version of the tablet, it came with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. Moreover, the 16GB version of the Nexus 7 was also rolled out with Android 4.2, whereas the 8GB version was phased out and is no longer available in India.
