Square Enix has shared the upcoming changes for the infamous Chapter 13 that has been plaguing many Final Fantasy XV players. Aside from balance changes, fans will also be able to play another character that will help tie the plot together.
Final Fantasy XV Chapter 13 Changes Bring In New Factors
The notorious Chapter 13 has gotten a lot of negative feedback from both fans and critics alike because of its linear design and confusing narrative. Players who had gotten so accustomed to the open world were more than disappointed after being required to stumble through dark corridors filled with many jumpscares. Luckily, Square Enix had already responded to fans and promised to update that part in the game.
According to TechnoBuffalo, producer Haruyoshi Sawatari has recently shared the details of the upcoming changes. At the moment, fans can only play as Noctis who struggles without his weapon and friends. However, Sawatari explained that they are rehauling the Ring of the Lucii to make it overpowered.
Aside from this, the changes will feature segments with Gladio (who will be playable) and Ignis who were separated from the prince at the time. Furthermore, these cutscenes will show the events that transpired when Noctis was alone. In line with this, players will encounter Ravus and Emperor Aldercapt and learn about what happened to them.
First Character Episode DLC On The Way
On the other hand, fans do not have to play Chapter 13 just to try out Gladio. WWG reports that the first character side-story will focus on everyone's favorite meathead as he undertakes a trial to gain more power. In the downloadable content (DLC), he will play much differently than Noctis as Gladio relies more on brute strength and precise defense.
The upcoming character episode will also fill in some more plot holes in the main narrative. Moreover, this gives fans a chance to get to know more about Gladio and his possible background and motives. The DLC will be releasing on March 28 with no word regarding the release of the Final Fantasy XV Chapter 13 changes as of now.
