With Injustice 2's release date coming close, Warner Bros. is slowly releasing new information regarding the game's final roster lineup. The newest video trailer released by the company features a brand new character arriving at the game. It highlights Cheetah, who was previously confirmed as a playable character.
According to the report from GameSpot, the video footage highlights Cheetah's moves and her ability during battle. It shows her battle with several in-game characters such as Wonder Woman, Deadshot and Robin.
As seen on the video, an interesting stage interaction element was shown during the 40-minute mark. After Cheetah positions into Robin, Robin was tossed against the wall. Following that event, the Batwing starts up and flies Robin to the other section of the map. Meanwhile, noting at the 56-second mark of the video, Cheetah smashes Wonder Woman into an Elephant display in a Museum. Judging by the gameplay video, it seems like Cheetah's special moves and finisher can interact with the stages during battle.
Siliconera reported that Cheetah was already revealed for Injustice 2 back in February, where she appeared in a trailer along with Catwoman, Black Canary and Poison Ivy. However, she's given most of her time in this recent video trailer.
On the other hand, it's a bit interesting to see Cheetah being a sole roster member present in the game taken from Wonder Woman's rogue list. Though Wonder Woman's enemies are not that well-known compared to other DC Superheroes, however, as part of DC's main trio of Superheroes, it looks like she deserves some extra attention.
It would be great if Ares, Giganta, Doctor Psycho and Strife receive some love. Overall, Cheetah is still a solid addition. However, it would be better if more Wonder Woman villains make the final cut.
