The latest episode of the anime adaptation series, “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” is out. It reveals more of Boruto’s adventures in the academy, where he meets new friends and rivals. As the story progresses, more characters are introduced.
Boruto Gets Into Trouble
“Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” Episode 2 starts with Boruto coming back to the ninja academy after being suspended for two weeks. As revealed in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” Episode 1, Boruto tried to rescue Denki and a group of youngsters from a train accident. Though he succeeded, he crashed the train just above the ninja academy, endangering everyone’s lives.
Boruto is met with prejudice as he returned to school, with most of the classmates disappointed of how the train incident was handled. Many voiced out that he was able to get away with suspension because he was Hokage Naruto’s son. Inojin, son of Ino and Sai, openly told Boruto that he was riding on his father’s coattails and he isn’t worthy of Inojin’s trust yet to become friends with him even though their parents are all good friends.
Iwabe Strives To Become A Hokage
Boruto then runs into Iwabe, a repeater. Iwabe and Boruto end up in a fight as the former picks on Denki and spouts nonsense about how being stronger is important than being an obedient student. Iwabe, Boruto, and the rest of the class move to another venue where the fight takes place.
Iwabe sets the rules by not using his full powers and Boruto attacks him in a familiar style, one that Sasuke used on Kakashi back when Sasuke was still in his early years in ninja academy. However, this move did not do well against Iwabe and after some difficulty, Boruto was only able to defeat Iwabe after using his clone technique. Iwabe, who couldn’t accept his defeat, resorted to using his weapon and full power, which scared Boruto and the class but Inojin was able to save the day by snatching Iwabe’s weapon.
Boruto Gets New Friends And Foes
As revealed in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” Episode 2, Iwabe is a repeater who have failed school twice because of his lack of interest in studying. However, he is highly skilled in taijutsu and ninjutsu that even the teachers and other adults acknowledge him for that. Injoin inherits his father's eerie honesty and even his Super Beast Imitating Drawing technique.
Sumire Kakehi is the class representative, who seems to adore the Uzumaki father and son. In the latest episode, it can be noticed that a character that dons the same outfit as Rock Lee and Guy is always shown in the background. As revealed in the preview of “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” Episode 3, this is actually Rock Lee’s son, Metal Lee, who will be starring in the upcoming episode.
