Here's Why Rainbow Six Siege Has Been Getting Long Queue Times Recently

Rainbow Six Siege has been suffering from long queue times but not without good reason. The developers have responded to the ongoing issue and reveal their future plans about it.

Long Queue Times In Rainbow Six Siege

There have been several instances lately wherein queue times take much longer than they usually do. This tends to happen especially if the player is ranked higher than most players. However, this is all due to a process called clamping and the developers are trying to find a way to give players balanced matches and instant queue times.

The developers have explained that they are working for a way to tie in a player's Ranked MMR to the Casual game, according to their Reddit post. That way, players will experience a more balanced type of games - especially for high tier players. They are aware that Diamond-ranked fans will have a more engaging game if paired with players in a similar tier rather than being ranked with Golds or Silvers.

They also stated that this is a temporary issue and will be resolved soon. However, this fix will require maintenance but they will issue a notice when it will be available.'

Join The Frost Birth Challenge

Meanwhile, SegmentNext reports that Ubisoft is holding a Frost Birthday Challenge in honor of her one-year release. Those who participate in the challenge (players must win twenty rounds with only the JTF2 operators) they can claim the Frost Medallion charm for their weapon. Keep in mind that there are only two JTF2 operators, Frost and Buck, so expect plenty of other players to try and quickly take their slots.

Fans can start the challenge now to earn the charm before the event ends. Incidentally, players will have to wait for further news regarding the queue time changes. Those who want to play Rainbow Six Siege can get a copy for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
