It seems Halo Wars 2 fans can look forward to something good in the upcoming E3 2017 which is scheduled this coming June. 343 Industries, the developer of the game, is apparently preparing some juicy treats to the Halo community of gamers. No less than Brian Jarrard hinted of this possibility. Could fans expect a DLC in the event?
Something Is Being Prepared For Fans Of Halo Wars 2
Jarrard, the Halo community manager, posted his comments on Reddit saying that they have something prepared for avid fans of Halo Wars 2 in the upcoming gaming event. Although he did not directly say that a DLC is coming, fans of the game could nevertheless deduce from his statements the things that they can expect when the event comes.
But This Will Not Be A Major Entry
In his post, the Halo community manager said that they're hoping that in a month's time, there will be a community update that will reveal "some nice little tidbits for the future of the franchise." He qualified his statement by saying that the thing that they will reveal at E3 2017 is not about a major entry in the franchise. If that's the case, perhaps it is only a DLC for Halo Wars 2 that will be unveiled.
So, This Could Be A DLC
Some industry observers believe this is just what 343 Industries intends to do at E3 2017. Jarrard's statement also gives the hint that Halo 6 will not be a part of the game developer's presentation in the forthcoming gaming convention. Consequently, Halo Wars 2 could have a part since there are some speculations that the developer has been working on this DLC project for quite a while now.
According to Jarrard, the recent exit of Dan Ayoub from 343 Industries will not affect the work being done on the Halo Wars 2 DLC by his team. He assured fans of the game that some wonderful downloadable content of the game and other surprises will surely come. Jarrard even said they are now in the stage of testing and polishing and the results will determine the release date.
