Recent rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be available only in 32/64GB storage options and will start shipping in week 36 (Sept. 2 to Sept. 8).
Samsung has an Unpacked event scheduled for Sept. 4 where we hope to see the long-awaited Galaxy Note 3. The phablet is definitely one of the most-wanted handset of this year and users will hope to get their hands of the device as soon as possible.
"Our source mentions week 36 as the likely time when the Note III will begin shipping, while the smartwatch will be shipped around week 40, though a delay of a week or two may happen, depending on region. It is also confirmed that Samsung is dropping the 16GB storage variant, which is great news looking at how the 16GB variant of the S4 leaves little usable space for the end-user (and also because lower than 32GB of built-in storage on flagship devices just doesn't cut it any more)," reports SamMobile.
Samsung released its flagship handset, the Galaxy S4, in April this year, making it available in 16/32/64 GB memory options. The smartphone received some criticism over the 16GB model as it offers only 9GB of actual storage to its users, while the rest of the memory is occupied with bloatware. Customers have the option to extend the memory using a microSD card, but with the top-end price paid for the handset some customers may find it unsatisfactory to buy a separate microSD card. More on-board storage is usually preferred.
The Korean company may have taken the Galaxy S4 criticism positively and is now reportedly planning to launch the Galaxy Note 3 only with 32/64GB storage options, which will give customers more storage space on their handsets.
The Galaxy Note 3 is supposed to be packed with top-notch hardware specifications and may also support the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. The Galaxy Note 2 has given stiff competition to other phablets in its category and Samsung will hope that the Galaxy Note 3 becomes the best available device in the phablet space.
If rumors are to be believed and the Galaxy Note 3 starts shipping by Sept. 8, then a strong possibility exists that the phablet will also make its way to stores in week 36 and we could get a glimpse of the handset very soon after launch.
