Genshin Impact is Coming to Xbox Consoles, Xbox Cloud Gaming—When is the Release Date?

The much-awaited arrival of Genshin Impact to Xbox platforms is now confirmed, and this arrival took four years to happen since miHoYo first introduced the game in 2020 to the world. This free-to-play action role-playing game (RPG) fantasy title is making its way to the Xbox Series S and X consoles as well as the Xbox Cloud Gaming online experience.

Despite its availability to the PlayStation 4 when it first arrived, HoYoverse has not made the game available for Microsoft's last-gen console, the Xbox One.

The latest announcement from HoYoverse in Gamescom confirmed Genshin Impact's arrival on the aforementioned Xbox platforms, and it was later officially confirmed by Microsoft's Xbox.

It will be available for download on the Xbox Series S and X consoles, and Microsoft has also included it in Xbox Cloud Gaming's list of titles available to play on eligible devices.

Microsoft promises the same experience available on other platforms in the Xbox version, centering on Genshin Impact's free-to-play open-world gameplay, cross-play, cross-progression, and more. According to Microsoft, Xbox Game Pass members may now pre-install the game.

Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, however, are entitled to get exclusive in-game rewards.

Genshin Impact and What it Offers

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, miHoYo rose to prominence due to the release of Genshin Impact, which instantly became one of the top titles available amidst the lockdown. While it is not a massively multiplayer online RPG (MMORPG), the free-to-play online action RPG connected gamers worldwide with its unique experiences.

The game allowed players to explore the open world with their characters, each having a unique set of skills and powers to fight against the threats they come across. Moreover, there were numerous events, quests, and more to enjoy from the action RPG, and it is has become popular for its character-switching and gacha-based system.

Genshin Impact debuted on various platforms like the Windows PC, PlayStation 4, iOS, and Android, with miHoYo offering crossplay and cross-progression. Now, Xbox owners are given the chance to explore the open world of Teyvat with their characters, which players can experience once the game is released in late November for the Xbox Series S and X and other eligible devices via Xbox Cloud Gaming.
