Overwatch swept the globe as currently one of the best action-packed first person shooter games out there that racked our gamer minds with its fast paced gameplay and diverse characters. Of course, such a diverse game will have imperfections - such is Symmetra, the currently least playable character in Overwatch.
Symmetra was considered as a situational character with situational capabilities and thus, plans to buff her were made. But recently, Jeff Kaplan, Overwatch game director, said that Symmetra may not just need simple adjustments in her stats - she might need a complete overhaul. So here's the list of important changes that will be coming in Overwatch's next updates.
Overwatch Symmetra Gets Complete Overhaul
They're not just going to tweak Symmetra, they might add some changes to her mechanics like stats and ability cooldown but more changes are to be expected. According to GamesRadar, the developers are keen on exploring more dramatic changes to Symmetra's design. Although players requested that she gets healing turrets, teleporters, and weapons (practically healing everything) Kaplan made it clear that they're not going to do that. But they may remove her from the support category instead.
They fixed a glitch in Junkrat's trap, which Genji can previously dash through and destroy. Junkrat's ultimate is going to have less activations time. Widowmaker's scope speed will also have an increase to reduce "powergaming and increase situational awareness." Two new heroes are said to be on the way one of which being playtested could be the anticipated Sombra. While the other is stil being developed internally. More voices and emotes are also said to be on their way. We can always use more of those. Spectating mode is also being overhauled with eSports broadcasting in mind. Cameras get hotkeys for watching a specific player and jumping all over the map. One map is bound to come out soon. New game modes are also underway but there are no final details yet.
