For the past two years, the Cenation leader went into hiatus from doing shows as he is trying to achieve work-life balance in and out of the ring.
The 15-time World Heavyweight Champion might be seeing his final years in WWE. John Cena has been in the business for more than a decade now and he is now battling the debilitating health repercussions of being in the business. Although the champ is still in a great shape, he's dealing with some injuries of which nature he would rather keep in private at this point.
The Champs Legacy
When WWE was trying to reinvent their type of programming they had some issues on how the public will respond. Until the Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle challenged anybody on the locker room and a young, brash, rookie stepped up. His name is John Cena. When asked what is special about him, he said "ruthless aggression" and slapped Kurt Angle.
That was the start of the new era and John Cena was loving it. He then became the Dr. Thuganomics who is very charismatic, funny and explosive. He won the U.S. Title against The Big Show in the grandest stage of all at Wrestlemania XX. That win catapulted the Chain Gang Leader to stardom.
The Birth Of Hustle, Loyalty, And Respect
John Cena made a sudden career shift when he learned the hard way that he needs to start taking care of himself and take the business more seriously. From the street thug persona to a more focused and serious Cena, he has achieved numerous titles. Cena was both hated and loved by the fans. He was criticized for burying other talents but at the same time, he was praised for being the leader of the locker room.
"The Face that Runs The Place" didn't only won 15 WWE World Heavyweight Championships, he won the Royal Rumble as well after a shocking return and headlining wrestlemania. The Cenation leader spent countless of hours in the ring to perfect his arsenal and he was making sure that the WWE Universe will enjoy every moment once he stepped in the ring. But John Cena is only human, he's physique is ridiculous but everybody is prone to injury.
Cena's Injuries And Life Outside The Ring
Being a wrestler doesn't only mean that you have to be good at cutting promos and selling tickets. You have to be at the top of your game - physically and mentally. Injuries happen in an instant and John Cena suffered one too many. It was at Royal Rumble when Cena suffered a leg injury when Big Show tossed him out of the ring and the landing was very ugly. Cena also suffered injury around his neck when Batista, countered his attack from the top rope and in the process delivering the Batista bomb. He Has a known achilles tendon injury; which he didn't want anyone to know at WWE Universe; which eventually led to his hiatus.
What's Next With The Champ?
Cena will rarely appear on live shows and even on Smackdown Live until the end of the year. As per our sources, WWE creative is making sure that Cena will be 100% when he will face AJ Styles for the WWE Heavyweight Championship and the most important match in Cena's career, facing The Undertaker at next years' Wrestlemania XXXIII.
