Niantic Is In Dire Need To Reset Pokedex On Pokemon GO Gen 2

For apparent reasons, many Pokémon GO players would not want to clear up their Pokedex in the next game. Without doubt, resetting this precious shelf of creatures on Pokémon GO Gen 2 could place Niantic under fire. With the recent discussion on whether or not should Niantic reset or expand the Pokedez for Pokémon GO Gen 2, here are the reasons to weigh things in.

Pokémon GO Gen 2 - Pokedex Expansion

After all the hard work and the valuable time trainers have spent catching Pokémon, it is beyond reasonable that Niantic should be keeping their Pokedex for Gen 2. Allowing trainers to carry over Pokémon creatures to the next generation game will give them a sense of fulfilment.

Pokémon GO Gen 2 - Pokedex Resetting

On the other hand, there is an enormous reason why Niantic could later on introduce resetting every trainer's Pokedex. Carrying Pokémon GO captures over to the next generation game will botch up servers due to overcrowding. This may be a lot to take in for now, but it definitely will be the best idea if the developer wants Gen 2 to come smoothly. If bugs and errors persist, it can be expected that a horde of Pokémon GO players from across the globe will be marching against Niantic.

Given that, if Niantic is indeed clearing up all trainers' collection, then it could be a sporting chance for the company to develop a better form of the Pokedex and the overall gameplay. It is foreseeable that if Niantic brings together two generations of Pokémon in one Pokedex, it could happen that players will be able to capture all new species and will be the "dead-end" of the game.

However, players still have to wait for the decision of the developer. Perhaps, there might no longer be a need to reset the Pokedex on Gen 2 if it can provide an alternative. For now, Niantic still has to confirm the arrival of Pokémon GO Gen 2.
