Pokémon GO Latest Update: Niantic Reveals Pokemon Sun & Moon Creatures Crossover

Before the Nov. 18 release of Pokémon Sun and Moon, latest news related to the forthcoming game came from Niantic. The Pokémon GO developer has teased that it is open to welcome Pokémon Sun and Moon creatures on the games. Could Pokémon Sun and Moon be making a crossover to Pokémon GO soon?

Pokémon Sun And Moon, Pokémon GO Crossover

In a recent interview of Wired UK with Niantic CMO Mike Quigley, a few details about the possible crossover with Pokémon Sun and Moon and Pokémon GO creatures have been teased. When asked about a more direct integration of these games, Quigley implied that Niantic has been considering the idea, but admitted that "there's nothing specific to speak to on that yet" rather than Game Freak's Masuda-san. The good news is, Quigley revealed that Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara and Niantic CEO John Hanke "have mentioned that could be an area for us to explore down the road."

Niantic Is Hopeful

Considering that Pokémon GO is still on its fourth month, Niantic is optimistic that there are a lot of opportunities on the way. Quigley further said, "That has been referenced early on in the relationship, and it think it's something we hope that we can get to."

Pokémon Go, Spring Board Of Other Pokémon Games

With the overwhelming success of Pokémon GO, it cannot be denied that it has helped other Pokémon games bolster their ranks. In fact, it has been seen as a spring board for Pokémon Sun and Moon which is now the most pre-ordered game in history of Nintendo. Quigley expressed that his team at Niantic is very happy that they have "played a role in helping overall; building Pokémon affinity." As for now though, Niantic is busy with its expansion on Pokémon GO adding new features like Nearby and Sightings.
