Overwatch Updates: Ana Gets Nerfed In The Update As Well

The recent Overwatch update has players more focused Roadhog and his hook getting nerfed, but he is not the only character who is getting tweaked. Fellow tank character D. Va has also been weakened for the game, as well as Pharah's healer mother, Ana.

What Happened To Ana

According to Attack of the Fan Boy, the developers have been thinking that Ana's biotic grenade skill is too good, and they have decreased the healing boost from 100 to 50 percent. That is a huge difference to consider, but the devs have been saying that the power-up has become unfair for characters in Ana's team that have very large health.

Ana is already considered to be one of the harder characters to master in Overwatch, but her weak offense was considered to be acceptable because of her amazing support ability. With the nerfing of one of her more useful abilities, some Ana mains are sure to have a hard time adjusting to the weakened boost.

What Happened To Everyone Else

As for the rest of the characters that got nerfed, D. Va has also received the boot, and her shields and HP have shifted on her status bar. Originally having 200 health with 400 armor, the numbers have now shifted, and D. Va's Armor now stands at 200 armor with 400 health. This will eventually make D. Va easier to take down as less armor means she is more susceptible to damage.

As for Roadhog, the supposed "nerfing" of his hook is considered to be a pro and con. Aside from the fact that the update has given his victims a chance of escaping the hook, victims who do get caught will land immediately in front of Roadhog instead of just moving in a straight line. This allows him to catch someone, turn 180 degrees, and drop the victim off a cliff.

Sombra Buff

Sombra, however, has received a buff, and her hack ability time has been reduced from one second to 0.8 seconds. Though the change may be small, Blizzard is said to be careful with working on Sombra since it seems that the community is still unsure of her potential in the game.

As of now, Blizzard is still working on getting the balance of its characters just right, but with the incoming characters that players have been expecting, it looks like Overwatch is set for a handful of patches and updates over the years.
