The Executioner is the newest Epic Card in Clash Royale and will soon be available on the game starting tomorrow, January 27th. Orange Juice was given permission by Supercell to try out and review the new troop earlier and what he discovered is the new overpowered card that would effectively support and compliment the nerfed Elite Barbarians.
Clash Royale: The Executioner
The Executioner is a long range, area damage troop that has the ability to attack both land and air units. The troop can also soak a considerable amount of damage as it can withstand a direct hit from Lightning. The Executioner is the only unit in the game that can deal double damage (in an area) which makes it even more of a threat for Skarmy, Goblins, Archers, Barbarians, etc. Here's the stats of the new troop:

Important Notes:
Executioner is unlocked at Arena 9 (Jungle Arena)
The Executioner does not move once he throws his axe in a Boomerang pattern.
The splash of the axe deals damage in a 360 degree angle.
Executioner 's attacks can reset the target of smaller units.
Executioner Overpowered?
The new Epic card is without a doubt, highly overpowered as not only can it soak a considerable amount of damage, it can also nullify most swarm troops on a single full axe swing. If paired with Elite Barbarians, these two can demolish the enemy Tower with ease. Moreover, the Executioner's attack can pushback and reset the attacks of smaller units which means that anything that a Fireball can pushback will get their attacks affected by the Executioner's axe swing.
