Microsoft's head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, says people should wait a little bit more before pre-ordering the upcoming Xbox Scorpio, at least until games have been introduced to it. The Xbox boss took to Twitter yet again this weekend to answer some questions from the Xbox community, including one with regards to pre-ordering the Scorpio.
Spencer urges to wait before preordering the Scorpio
According to WCCFTech, instead of answering when Microsoft's upcoming console can officially be pre-ordered, Spencer replied that people should wait with pre-ordering it before actual games have been introduced to the console.
"Wait until we show you games on it before you pre-order", Spencer said.
Up until now, no games have yet been shown off running on Microsoft's upcoming super Xbox console, despite the news that Spencer has recently confirmed that he had his first amazing play session on the console. He additionally expressed that the console itself looked "right".
Projected release
According to GamingBolt, the Xbox Scorpio will be released later this year, and Microsoft will most likely use the upcoming E3 conference to officially introduce Xbox games that will be running on Xbox Scorpio.
What to expect during E3
Speaking of games and this year's E3 event, the long-awaited Phantom Dust remake for Xbox One and PC has been developing very well and should be released before E3 2017 kicks off this coming June. That's what Spencer stated when asked about the game on Twitter. "Should be shipped before E3", he said.
About Phantom Dust
Phantom Dust on Xbox One and PC will be featuring improved Xbox Live support to go along with updated graphics and assets for better resolution. "We're using the original assets from the Phantom Dust that was released by Microsoft Japan in 2003," Microsoft's general manager of Microsoft Studios Global Publishing, Shannon Loftis, said last year.
With all things said, it looks like the future if bright for both the Xbox Scorpio and the games that will go along with it.
