Should The Ringed City Be The Last DLC For Dark Souls 3?

Dark Souls 3 is arguably one of the most exciting titles of recent memory. It quickly captured the hearts of gamers, thanks to its unique gameplay and, well, difficult bosses. Apparently though, the game is set to end its legacy with The Ringed City being the last and final DLC (deemed as endgame content). Despite this, players have still wondered if the content is fit to be called the last. Should FromSoftware pursue another one?

First and foremost, the developers of Dark Souls 3 have already confirmed The Ringed City to be the game's last expansion. After that, they are set to pursue a brand new IP -- though nothing specific has been revealed. AVClub discusses the idea of the content being a fitting farewell to the highly celebrated franchise through its "Gameological" discussion threads.

Among the comments players have about the Dark Souls 3 latest DLC is the incomparable beauty it brings. That, in one way or another, they have felt it being a solid send-off from the people behind the game. Some were even thrilled with the new surroundings, taking their time to appreciate the city itself. A commenter by the name of "doyourealize" iterates that the feeling he had with the content is not something he felt in the series before.

Morever, fans love the new bosses in Dark Souls 3 latest DLC, with Gael being one. Midir, in particular, was also satisfying. It's worth noting that in the game, it feels like all bosses are final bosses, so to speak. It's as if players will be facing the hardest of them all.

Obviously, Dark Souls 3 players' perspective towards the content can be a bit complicated. After all, it is the last in the franchise. So, in a sense, there's that feeling of sadness. That finally, the end is here. Of course, for a game of this class, it's difficult to comprehend. FromSoftware has indeed made an incredible title, one that will last forever.

As reported by Wired, the studio ends Dark Souls 3 in the most acceptable way. That everything is simply not easy. Players still get to experience the hardship of defeating monsters or bosses. Ironically, there is this satisfaction especially after managing to withstand difficult challenges.
