The Batventador is a Lamborghini fit for... well, Batman (Video)

The Lamborghini Aventador was already Batman's car of choice after Christian Bale got behind the wheel of one as Bruce Wayne in The Dark Knight Rises. The Lamborghini Club of Texas took the brand synergy to another level, though at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin with the Batventador.

What is a Batventador you might ask? For the most part, it appears to be a matte-black Aventador with some yellow Batman logos on the hood as well as decals on the side sporting the car's very own hashtag: #BATVENTADOR.

Aside from yellow decals and crime-fighting experience, the Batventador seems to be a stock Lamborghini Aventador in most regards. No villains were on hand at the Circuit of the Americas so it's unclear whether the car is packing any kind of weapon systems, but it was certainly more than capable of holding its own riding alongside numerous other Lamborghinis that suddenly felt just a little bit less spectacular. We don't know whom the car belongs to, but it's probably for the best that the driver's secret identity remains intact.

As a refresher, the Lamborghini Aventador is the carmaker's flagship model. It debuted into 2011 and replaced the Murciélago, which was already 10 years old at that point. Like most Lamborghinis, the car is named after a bull - specifically a bull from Saragossa, Spain that allegedly fought quite bravely in 1993, though it's hard to tell how much of this is invented marketing.

Under the hood, the Aventador boasts some pretty impressive specs. It's powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine that pumps out 690 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft of torque. It can go 0-60 in 2.9 seconds and has a factory-estimated top-speed of 217 mph, though Sport Auto Magazine clocked it at 230 mph. The car also has an electronic all-wheel drive system that provides additional traction and superior handling capabilities.

As if its Dark Knight pedigree wasn't enough, the Lamborghini Aventador is also one of the best reasons not to commit a crime in Dubai.
