Sony Xperia C4 leaked press render shows selfie cam with LED flash

The purported Sony Xperia C4 smartphone has just popped up online in a newly leaked image, claiming to be a press render of the device.

This is not the first time the Sony Xperia C4 leaks online, but no official confirmation is currently available from the company. So far, previous rumors have hinted that the Xperia Cosmos will make its official debut as the Xperia C4, and some leaked images of the alleged handset have tried to paint a picture of what to expect.

The folks over at the Xperia Blog have now reportedly received a press render of the purported Sony Xperia C4, courtesy of an anonymous tipster. As the publication itself notes, the smartphone is expected to come as the successor to the Xperia C3 and boast notable improvements, such as a selfie camera (front shooter) with a flash. If the newly-leaked image turns out to be accurate, the handset will indeed have a large front camera complete with an LED flash for high-quality selfies.

The Xperia Blog doesn't offer any other details regarding the purported Sony Xperia C4's specifications. Previous rumors, meanwhile, have suggested that the smartphone will pack a MediaTek MT6752 64-bit octa-core processor under the hood, paired with Mali T760 graphics and 2GB or 3GB of RAM.

On the software side, the Sony Xperia C4 is expected to launch with Android Lollipop out of the box. The Xperia Blog further notes that the smartphone will apparently make its official debut sometime in May or June and will come in several color options, including black, white, and turquoise (as seen in the image above).

The publication doesn't vouch for the accuracy of this leak, as nothing is confirmed for now. This means that it all remains in the rumor state at this point, and should be treated accordingly. As always, take all leaks, rumors, and speculation with a hefty grain of salt until the company makes a formal announcement.

If the Sony Xperia C4 is indeed set to make its debut soon, more information should become available closer to launch. We'll keep you posted as soon as more details surface, so stay tuned.
